Memtec Single Ply PVC Roofing Membranes and Associated Accessories:

Single Ply PVC Membrane Roofing and Roof Waterproofing Products and Systems have now been employed in UK commercial and industrial roofing/waterproofing Industry for over 40 years. We have serviced clients throughout the local areas of London, Medway, Kent, Ashford, Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, the Home Counties and the UK; all from our base in Maidstone.

Millions of square metres of Single Ply PVC Membrane Roofing Products and Waterproofing Systems have been installed over the past 40 years and is part of the main reason for the dramatic decline in the use of old fashioned, outdated and unreliable Bituminous Roofing Felt and Asphalt type Roofing Products and Systems. The Bituminous Roofing and Waterproofing Products and Systems generally rely on the use of dangerous boiling hot molten bitumen or naked flame (gas torch) application to enable them to be installed.

Memtec Single Ply Waterproofing Membrane Roofing Products, bitumen waterproofing membranes and Roof Waterproofing Systems are installed by means of cold applied adhesives or by means of mechanically fixing (screwed) alternatively are/can be loose laid and ballasted. All overlap seams and general detailing works are electrically hot air welded resulting in a safe and clean installation without any requirement for dangerous hot bitumen or naked flame.

Please note an experienced Single Ply PVC Membrane Product Flat Roofing System Installer should always be employed.

Memtec Single Ply PVC Roofing Membrane and Waterproofing Products are available in two standard colours: Dark Grey and Light Grey. The colour finishing can also be mixed if required, for example: Light Grey roof coverings with Dark Grey edge trims and so on.

(Please note Dark Grey colour membranes and all accessories are standard stocked, colour Light Grey is a special order and five working days' notice should be given when ordering Light Grey colour products).

 

MEMTEC SINGLE PLY PVC MEMBRANE ROOFING AND WATERPROOFING PRODUCT REFERENCES AND SPECIFICATIONS

PVC Membrane Roofing Design​Memtec PVC Roofing Membrane type EBM = Economy Bonded Membrane. Application is by means of solvent based contact adhesive type Memcol CA to roof substrate types plywood, OSB board and Memtec Approved insulation board types only. Also all roof detail flashing works.

Memtec Single Ply PVC Roofing Membrane type PBM = Premier Bonded Membrane. Application is by means of solvent based contact adhesive type Memcol CA to roof substrate types plywood, OSB board and Memtec Approved insulation board types only. Also all roof detail flashing works.

Memtec Single Ply PVC Roofing Membrane type PBM-FB = Premier Bonded Membrane – Fleece Backed. Application is by means of either Memcol CA solvent based contact adhesive or Memcol MPU polyurethane adhesive to roof substrate types concrete, screed, plywood, OSB board and Memtec Approved insulation board types only. “NOTE” not suitable for roof detail flashing works. Also can be employed in an existing roof overlay specification to the existing roof coverings such as:  existing Bituminous Felt and Asphalt (note with stone chippings removed) also existing Bituminous Felt with mineral finish surface.

Memtec Single Ply PVC​ Roofing Membrane type EMF = Economy Mechanically Fixed. Application loose laid mechanically fixed with screws and plate washers if in a cold roof deck specification i.e no insulation and with screws and thermally broken tube washers. If in a warm roof deck specification i.e insulated.

The performance of both non fleece backed and fleece backed membranes is exactly the same. Note a better cosmetic appearance is achieved when fleece backed membrane type is employed.

 

Roof terrace type

A timber decking trafficking surface can be employed over Memtec waterproofing membranes in either an adhesive bonded or mechanically fixed membrane application.

A Memtec protection layer should always be employed over the main waterproofing membrane field sheet.
